European Program COST Action ES1104: Arid Lands Restoration and Combat of Desertification: Setting up a Drylands and Desert Restoration Hub. The main objective of the action is to create a rehabilitation center for dry areas, which will bring together an interdisciplinary network of European and global experts focusing on the restoration of dry areas and the fight against desertification through the creation and management of vegetation.

2010-2014 "INTIMATE - INTegrating Ice core, MArine and TErrestrial records"

European Program COST Action Program ES0907: INTIMATE - INTegrating Ice Core, MArine and TErrestrial Records (60,000 to 8,000 years ago). The objective of the Action is to develop common protocols and methods for the representation of sudden and extreme climatic changes for the entire range of the European environments (glacial, marine, land) for the period 60,000-8. 000 years. The ultimate goal is to better understand the mechanisms and the impact of these changes, thus reducing the uncertainty of future forecasts.

2010-2012 "SMARTeST FP7"

SMARTeST FP7: Seventh framework program for research and technological development, Area: 6.3.1.5. Built Environment, ENV.2009.3.1.5.1. Technologies for improved safety of the built environment in relation to flood events,“Smart Resilience Technology, Systems and Tools”. This research program has the overall aim to improve the Road to Market of innovative Flood Resilient (ERe) technology by reducing deficiences and obstacles in the implementation of Flood Resilience Measures, facilitating the design of more holistic flood defence systems and supporting the implementation of the new EU flood risk management policy of "Living with Floods". Through a collaborative research program involving leading European institutions in this subject from the UK, Germany, France, Spain, Greece, the Netherlands and Cyprus, new technology, systems and tools will be developed, guidelines for validating their performance developed and applied in experimental studies to determine the reliability of today's Flood Resilience products.

CREATIVE SUSTAINABLE MANAGEMENT, TERRITORIAL COMPATIBLE MARKETING AND ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION TO BE PARKS

Creative sustainable management, territorial compatible marketing and environmental education to be parks. Communal initiative for the enhancement of management and environmental protection practices in protected areas. The project aim is the establishment of legislated actions for educational tourism and the exchange of best sustainable practices throughout the development of common actions (e-learning courses development, multi-tools development for area management, education and communication of the involved bodies) among Spain-Greece-Italy-Portugal-Slovenia-France-Cyprus. 

2009-2011 "Techno-environmental platform for the agro-food sector in the Mediterranean"

European project INTERREG MED, STRENGTHENING INNOVATION CAPACITIES, DISSEMINATION OF INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGIES AND KNOW-HOW ‘Techno-environmental platform for the agro-food sector in the Mediterranean’. Community initiative to promote 'eco-innovation' mainly in small and medium-sized companies belonging to the agri-food sector by creating a sustainable platform. The platform aims to disseminate environmental technologies and best practices in the context of eco-innovation through the exchange of information and the development of joint actions between Spain, Greece, Italy, Portugal, Slovenia, France and Croatia.
